the clear tubing is always a good idea. I hate the fuel petcock. I have an inline valve and a filter. I would also consider disconnecting the exhaust at the cylinder and put a screwdriver to allow exhaust out, then try running it and see how much difference there is, if any. your vehicle looks like it's got alot of miles on it and therefore the carbon could be restricting your exhaust. have you checked the exhaust port for carbon?

I don't think that is what that part is called that has the 3 fuel lines going to it. I believe that is called a vacuum fuel pump. A pet cock has a shut off to cut the fuel off. The pet cock also has filter inside of it and it's usually connected to the gas tank.

My SYM carburetor scooter over half year that engine does not working in Taiwan!
Due to my fuel tank located within under SYM scooter pedal, and I try to push scooter start motor switch and then I got some situations as below: (1) engine cylinder pressure is 126psi (2) spark plug has flash (3) fuel tank is not pushing gasoline through the fuel filter out? It seems my scooter fuel line system has block issue, could you offer some suggestions to help me fix my breakdown scooter here, thanks!

It's not the fuel that explodes, it's the vapor (fumes).
