I’ve never been that interested in shows about Christ and the Gospel. I was raised with this, and as those raised like this, we tend to drift away. But I started watch this show, and somehow I feel way more connected to God and Jesus. I think it boils down to that the show doesn’t JUST revolve around Jesus. It revolves the people He taught, the people He healed, and most importantly His disciples. Simon, Andrew, Matthew, Mary, they feel like real people to me rather than just people from long long ago. And I appreciate this so much. Because we know none of us are perfect like Jesus, but we can be like His disciples, who made mistakes but served his regardless, knowing that they don’t deserve what He has given them. And I thank the producers and makers of this amazing show for giving me a new perspective on that.
