JFM I am SOOO GLAD you said you are a "Hope Skeptic". I have removed "Hope" from my life, and replaced it with "Plans". This doesn't mean I will never be happy about the future... This means I need to ACTUALLY MAKE POSITIVE ACTIONS TOWARD AN OUTCOME. That will give me positive momentum toward a better tomorrow. I spent half my life "hoping" that something would change. I'm hope skeptic/ critical too. Maybe it has something to do with the language... in mine (Spanish) hope (ESPERAnza) and wait (ESPERAr) share the same 'passive' root!
