How do you not act, when retaliation against non believers is repeated throughout the verses?

First of all I want to make one thing clear before I criticise my brothers in Islam for the sake of Allah. I love digital mimbar and dr zakir naik but without any clue about the content of the talk I feel to say that the name of the talk is really disappointing and must hurt a believer's feelings. We cannot be in this miserable state due to islamafobia or any ideology where we put 'jihaad' onto questioning corner. Prophet May peace be upon him stated the essence of Jihaad consistently. Now what are we to make statement like "Islam's view on jihaad". Islam does not have a view on Jihaad, Islam inseparably has Jihaad by the very roots of it.
So to sum up, it would be correct to say "What is Jihaad as one of the fundamentals of Islam?" We cannot show any compromising attitude while trying to speak up for Islam, otherwise, we will not be able to hold onto this path. Again I feel in need to state that my only complaint is about the title of lecture.
