That "Restored Grade" was most likely because of something, I guess obvious, that the service did to "improve" the condition of your book. I would venture to say that their processes worked ok in the market several years ago but the world has moved forward and this companies methods and attention to detail did not.

I had been using the private signing just to avoid the long delays in returns of regular graded books. Only with top notch artists though, not just anyone.

I guess the issue is — if the restoration is removed, would that lower the grade? Interested in seeing the video. I don’t know much about restored book grading.

The resto should be able to be removed if it's a b-1. That means they used pencil, crayons or chalk to do the cover up. And that there should only be small areas of it. You have to worry if you have resto that starts with C.

Super informative that turnover time is what sometimes makes me consider getting a certain book already slabbed if its within my budget.

Your camera is awesome. I saw the bends and ticks right away on IM #2. The bends looked very pressable . You could definitely see the two creases on ASM 108 at the bottom of the spine. I can't wait to see you work your magic. Trying to get rid of restoration is going to be very interesting. Great Video as always!

Love the thumbnail with the beard. You really did have to wait a small eternity to get those three back. I think that Amazing Spiderman 107 is worth a crack, cleaning, and pressing for a possible 9.8 Actually I would resubmit all three. The money you have saved on doing your own pressing and cleaning and whitening is worth a grade bump. I know some people don't think it's worth it, but you do such a good job. I imagine you could get white pages. Can't wait for the black light video. Glad to see another upload. I was having Improved Collecting Comics withdrawal. LOL

Always informative. Trying to decide on which heat press to get. So many have reviews that include broken braces. Not sure where to go with it.
