SpaceX Moon Colonization Plan
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, has already revealed his plans to build a moon base and a colonization city on Mars within the next decade. And this concept has already piqued the curiosity of NASA executives, who have frequently discussed the potential of restoring humans to Earth's satellite in past years.
The only thing the Moon colonization plan looks interesting is because it is closer than Mars and it has a large quantity of Helium-3 on its surface that can be a future fuel source.
However, there are few challenges humans will face on the moon colonization plan.
Such as:
1 - Large colonies could easily use all the limited available water on the moon.
2 - Limited carbon dioxide - which plants need to grow and produce oxygen.
3 - Solar radiation is worse on the Moon.
4 - The low gravity will make everything difficult on the Moon.

The moon is a launchpad, it can be used to get to other places for far less fuel as it has such a low gravity and such a smaller atmosphere

Why not do some near-earth asteroid colonization than the moon please put some space stations on asteroids that are in between the Moon and Earth orbit

The reason the moon is so grest because it has no atmosphere and is 1/3 lighter than Earth, meaning getting into Low Lunar Orbit is really easy.

It's a shame that cannot find an underground cavern on the moon or Mars on the moon are Mars that they could simply build a dome over the entrance and hopefully find water inside it could be most likely frozen to give them the room and the areas as they need

Nasa created the Artemis program and decided to contract the HLS (human landing system) and spacex won that contract
Also most of the negatives you mentioned have been overcome in past visits (Apollo program) or they already have things developed to mitigate issues you brought up
