well, time slows down when you approach the speed of light. so i guess you will be traveling alot faster in reality. also theres a little thing called technology (tech for short) and i believe there are no limits to what it can achieve, inlcuding faster than light speed travel

I love that question. If there're no aliens, surely they could send up another curiosity with a shield or something and they could do battle!!
If it could kill things with its laser, would it make a useful fly swatter? If so, I'd love to have a curiosity rover fly swatter, shooting a laser at pesky flies... I'd definately buy that... might be a bit expensive, but a remote control laser space buggy would be an awesome fly swatter.
