I'm not sure Lilith was as detached from his as everyone thinks. Whem he banned her to the void for the second time her first rhought on seeing him was on how much she both hated and desired him, as for D4 I hope he gets a redemption arc, I'm sick of the revolving door that is falling angels

He’s definitely the Prometheus of the series, doomed by his own cleverness and punished for pursuing new ideas. I pity him, for I think he was so tired of the eternal war that anything new was embraced without question. He probably should’ve distrusted Lilith from his experience but he wanted his relationship with her to be real so badly and he deluded himself into believing it because he was feeling utterly hopeless.

No, I don't think he's an idiot. Instead I think of him as a prideful warrior that was blinded by the hope of peace and love. He looked for the best solution in ending the never-ending war for control only to be blindsided by one of the worst outcomes. I think idiot is a very harsh word for someone who just wanted change. He is more of a hopeful fool.

I don't think he was stupid, I think he just really wanted out. At the sametime this pure desire from war lead from one thing to another, and sometimes it's inescapable if fate is a dictator who favors endless and pointless war. Inarius in the end was defeated by the will of universal stupidity, not his own.

So many stupid angels but the lore is good.

A few corrections, first Inarius was aware of Uldyssiun from the start and he was actively letting Lilith manipulate him as a way to over-throw the Triune.
Both characters are master manipulators and while Inarius had the power to handle nearly any foe he always saw it beneath him to act directly.

Second was that Lilith also loved Inarius which was confirmed in the 2nd book of the Sin War that she desired him, which would indicate their
love is mutual in at least some capacity. Even if it did start out as a way to manipulate him it clearly grew into something more.

Inarius made mistakes no question, but they are very few and arguably rather minor mistakes as his power was so great by the end of the Sin Wars
that he very likely could have dealt with both the High Heavens and Burning Hell's.

His only major mistake he had was underestimating Uldyssian, which in fairness he is potentially responsible for the creation of the Diablo Universe
or at the very least the World Stone.

Inarius is going to be the new Justice when he comes back, because he has seen it all - angels, demons and nephalems.

I’ve just realised Inarius armor looks nothing like the green Inarius Necromancer Set... odd

Call him what you will but I think a new Diablo (based on the concepts of D1 & D2, not the Mickey Mouse version of D3 launch) with a crazed Inarius running around, mentally broken by centuries of endless torture, is an awesome basis for a villian

I'd say Inarius is only about as foolish as Romeo was for Juliet, or Selene was for Michael (Underworld).
He may have run a fool's errand, but some things aren't certain until tried.

For me, I think Rathma suffered the most because of his parent's fault.

Wouldn't have Nephalem without Inarius... He didn't do everything wrong, I guess. The Nephalem heroes have killed demons and angels, so if anything he's aided in curving the tides of the eternal conflict via the creation of Nephalem. Only downside is, Nephalem can choose a side :)

Tbh i do think both Inarius and Lilith loved each other. However Lilith kept her emotional distance and when she was exiled she was hurt. In the cutscene when she said "our son?" She was really hurt. She did love inarius maybe not as inarius loved her but love is still love

A fool for wanting peace? No. A fool for trusting a fiend, he is.

they need a new tyrael i stopped liking him in D3 where as in D2 he was likeable D3 he's just too dumb maybe give more screen time to auriel or just redeem inarius cause there's just no way we side with lillith she's probly just trying to make herself more powerful then the prime evils i would assume that's her endgame similar to diablo in D3
