I’m 58, a few months back I came across a push-up challenge. I thought I would try. My maximum was 7. Fast forward 6 months I do four sets of 50 each day. ( 2 sets in morning 2 in evening).
Correct form is everything, and don’t over do it at the beginning. The physical change in my body is unbelievable.
Listen to these guys they speak the truth.
Oh and the challenge I started off trying was the “ Bring Sally up” push up challenge which is “Only 30 push-ups).

I have been a truck driver now for over 30 years and I developed a case of tennis elbow. (I believe from years of shifting gears). I watched one of your videos on stretches for tennis elbow and within 2 weeks the pain was completely gone and I have been pain-free ever since. Just wanted to send a note saying THANK YOU!!!

I like to stop at a bench along the hiking trail and knock off 25 pushups, dips and squats. I'm a 55 yr old grandma...and it WORKs for me. People think I'm younger. I actually dislike wts or body wt workouts...but sneaking it in with my hike helps me get it done. These exercises are actually what Ponce d'Leon was actually trying to find. 😁

Squat, Pushups, Pull-ups. The 3 Main Core Exercises that work the entire Body. Squat being KING.
Form is always important and always go for Quality Not Quantity. 😉

Great tips for starting a push-up routine and to modify with a wall push-up and chair. Those are tips I share with my patients too. I've also done the band push-ups but haven't tried it with the perfect push-up tool.

I'm doing 5-10 reps of each of my exercises at a time. Splitting total number over the day. Not killing myself but getting it done. THANK YOU!

Haw Haw ! I have done 100+ push ups twice a week for 30 years. In 2013 I had a MASSIVE heart attack and in 2017 I had a MASSIVE stroke! Now because of Push ups AND Sprinting I Survived . My cardiologist calls me “ the miracle boy”. I have LPa (lipoprotein a). I am currently involved in a drug study for LPa, which my doctors say cause 40% of Heart Attacks and 40% of Strokes.

58 is the magic number that drew my attention! Your advice to do five at a time throughout the day is very encouraging, especially if I don't have to get on the floor. I tried five with resistance. I'm going to do this three times a day for a month and see if there are any results.

If starting out with pushups I have found that stairs give a good incline

You definitely have to build yourself up for more pushups. I can do a little over 30 in a row and I use correct form. Body like a plank, butt sturdy not sinking in.

Yea getting over that hurdle is no fun. Late 30’s and love doing push-ups as long as the form is legit. The progression is what I enjoy.
