To be honest, I watched Abridged without ever seeing the anime, and I assumed these were the official ops. I mean, why wouldn’t I? They seem so descriptive of the anime they’re headlining.

I’m just glad this OP fixed the cut where Suguha glances to the side so it actually cuts to what’s distracting her (being Kirito). The original was so poorly edited that they genuinely made it seem like she was looking at Sugou.

After the latest episode of the abridged series, the lyrics of the chosen song make so much sense to use.
It’s basically the main conflict between Suguha and Kirito.

Suguha wants to hang out with Kirito and do real life things like Kendo with him, but Kirito is more interested in games and programming.
The intro in a way is Suguha asking Kirito if they could live in the real world, instead of playing games.

One of the major problems for me is the opening songs for a lot of animes, sure it can hype you up when you're watching a new episode every week, but when we binge the episodes, like we all do, don't lie, it get annoying that the intro has to be 3 min long, or you have to skip it. A 30 second opener is perfect.
