G’day Peter. Nice work mate. You got my pucker factor going when you started threading. My Colchester brake doesn’t work that good and it would crash 😂

Great vid, just subbed. Wondering if I could ask you a question if you don't mind.
I'm planning to put some threads on 40mm diam 4140, in order to screw into a pre drilled hole in timber. So they would be coarse threads and are quite spaced with a wide root, similar to that of lag bolts. - what tool would you use for this?
I was thinking of using a standard insert (not a threading insert) and setting up my cross slide so once I am at depth, i can move it slights left with each pass to widen up the root. Unsure if a threading insert would have a limited depth of cut or not Any advice? Thanks!

Running the cutter that close the chuck at that feed rate would make me nervous. Nice work and good explanation!
