This was interesting. Some more things that I expected to hear were engine power, is it petrol or diesel engine and pros/cons of either. The gearbox has how many speeds? Fuel consumption. What trim level was this unit and how many levels exist. This didn't look like the the top end HSE. How much does it weigh? Top speed? What features does it have. You are on to something, hongera! In terms of on road manners and off road capability, this is the best car in the category

Interesting that you did this considering how you had binned the FL2 in your cars not to buy, lakini sawa. The main value proposition for this over others in its class is TRUE 4x4 capability, ok it lacks low range and a diff lock but with some good driving it will keep up with a disco. I agree that it feels big, it's not one to be hustled around..more for refined driving. A number of the other aspects you mentioned are options..rims, side steps, roof rack, etc so will be different w each. This is the 3rd face-lift of MY2014 w a new petrol engine (2.0L Ford Ecoboost) and more refined interior/safety but otherwise under the skin it was still the same as the MY07 ones, which I guess accounts for the boxiness...it was at the end of its life. The evoque also came out in 2014 and the disco sport soon after. Surprised that the suspension was hard coz land rovers are soft sprung for off-road. Shame about the reputation from the FL1, I think these are the most reliable model of the entire LR family.

The freelander 2 is a good car I got a 2007 model but mine is the 3.2 litre i6 hse which is a beast and you can’t get it anymore. It’s so nice to drive too.

Excellent work. For 3.3M. BMW X3 (of course a biased opinion - mimi ni Bayerische Motoren Werke all the way), Forester XT would be my options. I need a lot of convincing to consider the Freelander 2. Land Rover did discontinue the freelander in 2014, I think.
