This basically seem like a NYC cookbook for nerds, which isn't a bad thing. I'm surprised there hasn't been an X-Men cookbook yet. With characters from all sorts of heritages it would be easy to come up with many recipes.

Makes me wonder if at some point this was conceptualized as a new york cookbook, got shelved and tossed around until it landed at someone with Prongs in Marvel and they said 'just make it spider-man'

Which I'm partiality fine with cause it fits the character as he does talk a lot about his favorites street foods when talking to other heroes and I'm also glad the recipies seem more mature.

Because if this were a kids book I'd be super simple and sweet like..."red and blue slushy' or something.

I love the framing sketches you did as J Jonah Jamison - your reviews are always fun to watch, but it definitely added an extra element of fun.

"I want food... (slams desk) FOOD OF SPIDERMAN!"

Funny you mentioned not associating Jamaican beef patties with Spider-Man because that's what's Miles is eating in "Spider-Man: into the Spiderverse" that's probably why the recipe is in the book.

Definitely did not feel the recipes had anything to do with the theme, but they sure did look tasty! Your acting was top notch 👌

The J Jonah Jamison bits were some of the best you've ever done. XD The food looked pretty tasty but I do agree that it could have been a bit more Spider-Man themed.

Did you know binging with babish better known today as the babish culinary universe did a video of the wheat cakes from insomniacs marvels Spider-Man along with the Chinese pork dumplings? He mentioned that the wheat cakes were competent, which makes sense because the only thing sweet in those pancakes is molasses.

Miso, this is far and away your best intro yet, and that’s saying something! Having watched your videos for a few years now, I feel like both your cooking and more importantly your video-making have really leveled up! So much fun, and I hope the channel continues to be both financially and creatively rewarding for you.

Crazy how you got triple J in your video, how was working with him? I heard on the vine he’s actually a nice guy

Given the choice between them using a regional theme and then stretching to get the back stories or having one of those books that styles food to look like the characters, I’d pick the former. I do wonder if the pho-Juggernaut connection is supposed to be because his origin is supposed to take place in a (now nebulous) Asian country (it was Korea at
first, but has changed as time rolled up behind the characters).
