There's usually a good reason why things get returned...the macBooks need more investigation, the main boards on those things are worth quite a bit if they only need minor repairs.

Crazy! I was hoping that more would work. However, I would recommend trying to charge every device before deciding to trash them as some may just have a dead battery 😭. And even for the ones that don’t work, I’d still be curious to bring them to a repair shop to see what’s wrong w them and if they are worth or able to be repaired.

There's a lot of value to device components even if you don't have working devices. If you have non-working iPads, for example, but the screens are in good condition, any iPad repair shop would be interested in purchasing replacement screns to install for customers needing repairs. Many of the other devices that don't turn on, like laptops, likewise would have salvageable components such as RAM, SSDs and screens that could be sold, or each item could be sold as parts/repair on Ebay to people needing components for a matching machine. The value in the lot will be in the time you invest as much as the money.
