Different Spelling but Same Pronunciation? 🤔 #EnglishIsConfusing

Homophones are words that are spelled differently but pronounced the same. No wonder English is so confusing!
When we see the different spelling we assume that it should be pronounced differently, but English is not a phonetic language! So spelling and pronunciation don’t match!

In this video, you’ll learn about some of the most common homophones in English and how to pronounce them. We’ll talk about:
1:40 flower - flour
2:02 here - hear
2:21 sun - son
2:43 there - their - they’re
3:23 right - write
4:18 road - rode
4:36 hoarse - horse
5:20 soul - sole
5:46 war - wore
6:28 see - sea
6:46 to - too - two

This is one of the most valuable videos in Youtube, as someone mention before you tackle those subjects where you know a person that speaks English as a second language struggle the most, I wish you would've been my teacher when I was in High School. You're the best Hadar.

I love your Videos Hadar because English is your second language too, you’ve already know where English as Second language speakers struggle. If i watch your videos, I would not struggle no more on that topic. Because my second language is related your second language as Semitic language, I would be happy if you find the reason why Semitic speakers are struggle a lot to speak English fluently. Thanks Hadar.

Flour /flɑʊr/
Flower /flɑʊər/
OW digraph in ‘flower’ is tricky. /ʊ/ is changed to a glide sound /w/ and it is transcribed and read as /flɑwər/

First, thank you for all your content! You do such a great job! About the write and right homophones pair, to the best of what I know, there is a third word: rite - a religious rite. So, I'd say that write | right | rite are all pronounced /raɪt/; if I'm not mistaken.

Awesome as ussualy.

Could you please make a short video about dark L in words like million, Metallica, killing (I guess it's dark L)), chilly, etc.
Appologies if you've done it already and I've simply missed it.

Thank you so much.

Besides at the end of a sentence, "to" also sounds like "too" when it comes before a vowel, as in "I went to a party." Nitpickers would say you shouldn't even end a sentence with a preposition, but of course we do it all the time, informally.
