I saw the movie Purgatory yesterday and it was such a great movie. It featured Fulla Horak and she had a book called “Swieta Pani. Objawienia i wizje mistyczne”. (Or interpretatied “Holy lady. Revelations and mystical visions”.) Makes me wonder why this is not in English. The movie talked about her writings.

Please consider a segment on views of purgatory Pre Great Schism. I am unable to find sources. I find the Eastern Orthodox theology of the aerial toll houses to be the view before the schism. It relates purgatory as a journey to God where we are actively judged for our actions in the body on Earth. I’m trying to convey Jesus is very specific about how we will be judged. This is not an esoteric or unknowable construct. The toll house theology is not gnostic but clearly grounded in Holy Scripture. If anyone wants to make a good confession look up the sins by which we will be judged. Most people have a better understanding of civil and criminal law but fail to look at sins which make your soul into the opposite image of God. Best book outside Holy Scripture is “To imitate Christ.” It’s only the image of Christ that persists in us when we die that meets God.
