Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another, to put yourself in somebody else’s shoes. There is a sterotype that autistic people lack empathy, but that is not the case. Thank you for making this video! There needs to be more discussion on the topic of autism and empathy! There is so much misinformation about this!

This is not true. My younger brother who is autistic does lack empathy. I think it depends on the person and age is a very important factor. For example, yes older autistic people will definitely know how to demonstrate empathy whereas a younger person may not.
