HOW to TUNISIAN CROCHET for BEGINNERS - SIMPLE and KNIT Stitch

You can learn How to do Tunisian Crochet for Beginners in this video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. Tunisian crochet is a neat alternative to traditional crochet that looks similar to knitting. In the past Tunisian crochet has been referred to as afghan stitch crochet. You can make blankets, afghans, scarves, shawls, bags, and more.

In this video I'll demonstrate both the Tunisian Simple Stitch as well as the Tunisian Knit Stitch.

I love how Donna properly explains on her videos. Nk crazy background, very straightforward and its made for everyone, regardless if you a just starting to learn the craft, a beginner or even if you have decades of experience. Her channel is my "go to" if I want to watch, learn a new stitch or even just relax.

Btw, I love how loose her tension on these tunisian stiches. I still have issues on getting my tension from tunisian crochet (just learned it for 2 years) but a goo tip is not to "overkill" on getting your loops and to take it a bit slower than yout usual pace.

it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to knit... (I did crochet before), there was no tutorial or person that could help me! Not even a row!

Then I found your channel, and started to try different ideas from the Stitchorama to practice more crochet and eventually, tried to learn how to knit, but this time with your videos. I still need lots of practice but i finally learned the basics and did a couple of rows! With just one video!

Today i got my afgan needles in the mail, and here i am, learning again, Thank you Donna!

Needed to learn this for a coat I want to make myself. I am using my practice piece to make an inescapable (hopefully) coat for my cat who has an injury from a fight that I need to keep covered. This stitch is gorgeous, I am in love, lol. The video was perfect, thank you, short, sweet and clear. Literally was able to learn in minutes. Great job. Hopefully, my cat coat will be as good. Lol. I’ve made quite a few blankets using this technique. I usually resorted to using a hook one size up from the Tunisian hook I was using to mitigate curling. Never thought of doing a row of single crochet. I like this method much better. Thank you for generously sharing your talent! 🥰
