LQBTQ is a word like Voldemort in Korea. Everyone knows it, but it never comes out of course.

Great. I have always hated Korea’s hypocrisy towards LGBTQ+. Back in the days, k-pop choreographies had a lot of sensual moves between two male members so the audience would start screaming and losing their sh1t. The shipping culture has always been a huge thing, as well as the fanservice (one member showing affecting to another to encourage fans into shipping them) but still if they found out that their favorite celebrity was gay, they would boycott and bully him to death.

A lot of these comments are disheartening. LGBTQ+ people have always existed all around the world, it is not a western thing!! LGBTQ+ Koreans and foreigners being able to live more comfortably and openly as themselves in South Korea is a wonderful thing and I hope that the country (as well as so many others) become even more accepting in the future. It starts with things like challenging gender roles!

I really love this push for inclusivity in Korean media. I hope it extends to different skin colors too.

When were the Koreans masculine? Even the most masculine guy in Korea would be average in other countries

I was watching that situation in Korea. I saw a few Korean stars commit suicide over their sexuality such as being outed before they're ready.

<Average American Male>

Body fat percentage: 28%
Skeletal muscle mass: 35.8kg

<Average Japanese Male>
Height: 171cn
Weight: 69 kg

Even by world standards, Koreans have moderate body weight and skeletal muscle mass.
The average weight difference between Americans and Koreans is about 10 kg, but the difference in skeletal muscle mass is only about 1 kg.
(For the US data, I referred to the data from 2004 for reasons of reliability of the body fat percentage data.
However, while average weight in the United States is now higher, skeletal muscle mass has hardly changed. )

Its about time. None of that has anything to do with being a good human.

I thought Korean boys look more feminine than other guy. They have cute, young, innocent pale face, and thin body, they look similar to one and other. Maybe their beauty standards lead people there to be more girly for the physical appearance stuff, i guess
