I’m 32 and investing for the first time in my life. I have started contributing to my 401K and opened a Roth IRA with automatic contributions, but my question is, does asset allocation really matter at first, or perhaps am I just overthinking as a beginner?

A very good explanation but i think one also need to understand the primary knowledge about crypto or investment as the case maybe. With the rate of higher cost of living today it is also important to prioritize investment plans to secure a better tomorrow.

Great video Nathan! Allow me add that in building a good investment portfolio you have to look at three key things.
1. How much help you want
2. Your risk tolerance
3. Determining your best asset
I personally have not had any problem with 1 and 2, my burden lies in point 3. I've taken stocks as my best asset but every now and then I keep hearing about the stock market crashing and this affects me a lot

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 30% S&P, 30% total stock, and 30% international. But I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stock. But does the SP500 and TSM ocerlap too much to make sense holding both? However I have been in the red for months now, I work hard for my money so investing is makes me nervous. I don't know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait, but watching my portfolio shrink is a constant source of stress.

diversify across all asset classes... evenly distribute risk/reward within each class.. to ultimately evenly distribute risk/reward overall … sell risk to cash at tops... deploy cash to risk at bottoms... rinse repeat
