At 7:43, this is a useful idea that many people do not know about or understand. Dr. Dave provides a good visual example here.

Dr.Dave, I hold Robert Byrne in great regard and I don't say these words lightly: you're his heir when it comes to spreading knowledge and passion with fellow billiards enthusiasts.
You're having a far greater impact, I dare say, due to the number of videos that you put up for free, both in terms of quality and quantity.
Every video is of the highest quality in terms of explaining concepts, ways of thinking, teaching tips and tricks, attitude and emotional control, strategy and tactics or whatever else.
You also take the time to politely and thoughtfully reply to all comments posted against your videos where needed.
You, sir, is what the sport needs more of! Hope you make it to the hall of fame one day.

I like how you explain the side spin and you demonstrate where to hit the cue ball and what the
ball dose after the hit. Very well done, thank you.

I am never disappointed with any instructional video by Dr. Dave. I am flabbergasted regularly, because of the titanic, sheer volume of his body of work. It's astonishing that it's even possible to increase this immense output; and yet Dr. Dave does the "impossible". Just when I think the curtain is about to drop Dr. Dave comes back on stage with another instructional gem to share. I was compelled to write these words because of the high degree of appreciation I feel. Cheers, John Noe

I agree devolping sidespin takes a while. I've been shooting pool for about almost a year and barely starting to get the hang of side spin. Thanks

Most of your video highlighted things that I know well and already incorporate in my game all the time, but the bit about the effect of the drag shot was super interesting to me. Never occurred to be to hit bottom drag spin to accentuate the side action off of the rail (especially on a shot like the one at 7:43 where it looks like top spin would be necessary. Super counter-intuitive and very cool.)

Dr. Dave, in my opinion you are the best instructor on YouTube. I would love to get a couple of lessons with you. Keep doing what you do, your teaching skills are a gift.
