I have my flx4 for over a year and at the moment I don’t feel I need anything bigger until I have mastered all the features on it 😊

Just started mixing and DJ-ing and your videos help a lot. Everybody should watch this before buying DJ equipment. Lots of good and useful information, thank you very much for taking the time to do this!

You said "Reloop" in place of Roland at the 10:57 stamp . An understandable slip, but you may want to add a correction caption, so the Roland folks don't get bent out of shape! Great video

Rev 5 is working great so far! I would argue it deserves to be on the list LOL.

after 3 decades of trying the f out of them all: controller of choice or timecode-vinyl + VDJ (with own customization for every single need) = gold.

I thought the Roland would be too cramped, but it actually fits my workflow so much better than anything else I've used. I have my Rane One, which you'd think would be more ideal, but I actually find myself more comfortable working on the Roland.

If it had slightly larger jogs, motorized platters, and more pitch fader throw (it's quite short) it would be unbeatable by anything else. Just the most incredible bit of kit. No surprise it still sits on top lists many years after release. You didn't even go into all the IO options, which truly makes it stand out above all others.

at 27:25 - To all watching this - I know @Digital DJ Tips always stigmatises the Hercules brand as 'entry level' but there is nothing 'Entry Level' about their T7 controller. You will not be upgrading that controller if you purchase it like an entry level pioneer. ive been DJing professionally for over 20 years, and I now use the T7 at every gig I have including night clubs and have done so for the last 9 months. It's incredible what you get for your money, and yes with Serato Pro (sometimes people have licences already you know). (I just wish someone could map it for Traktor as its the best DJ software for sound quality, FX and library organisation. but its simply incredible. All the best -Paul

I still love my Denon Prime 2. Sad that no one really talks about it these days 😞

I have a Rev 7 & a Rane One, the one thing I like about my Rane One is you can replace the fader by unscrewing the top plate on the fader, the Rev 7 is Great but you have to unscrew the back of it and go thru too much to get to replace the fader. I watched Cleveland Terry video on it but I know one day I got to do it

I have an SRT1000… I am NOT someone who upgrades very often….. For example, I went from a DDJSX MK1 to the SRT…. I would jump from my SRT to the FLX10 if the Serato integration wasn’t so clunky… I know you were more professional with your wording, but you basically are agreeing……. And I also agree with you that the new fun thing is STEMS, and PDJ missed the mark with it…. Especially at that price point.

Great video Phil. I wish the Rev 5 would have made it on your list. I recently ordered it and missed the delivery today. I was going to order the RANE FOUR because of the stems control, but it seems that the REV 5 can do the same, without being a 4-channel controller and spending as much money. I'm upgrading from a DDJ-SB3, so I'm sure I'll be impressed. Thanks for making this video.👍🏾

I just bought a FLX10…
Honestly, what surprised me about this controller is the Sound Quality, compared to the 400, Rev1, Numark & Mixtrack Platinum 3… miles ahead.

The combination of FLX10 + CRSS12 is the strongest for me. Next to the performance mode, it enables also the vinyl mode and I can play Vinyl, DVS and also digital. Have the feeling of CDJs and Vinyl and can train both. Only disadvantage is that it is not the cheapest. :D

Thank you. This has been helpful. I am ready to move on but overwhelmed by which controller to buy next.

Here are two things from this video I wanted to say I have a DJ and Pro Audio Rental company here in the Caribbean. I have lots of Pioneer . Rane for clubs but when I get a call for controllers that someone wants to do a party on the beach I rent them a Hercules 500 I rather replace a $400. dollar controller then a $ 6k club system that full of sand . Yes the Herules has fatter base the some other DJ controller

I've owned the Sx2, Sx3, 1000 srt, and Rev 7. The Rev 7 has the best jog wheels in the game.
