Here are the most dangerous issues Polaris will never tell you about! RZR Pro R & Turbo R! These are also the upgrades for those problems!! Including the Sport & Ultimate Edition.
This is a Tech Talk discussing this brand new Polaris RZR Pro R 4 Ultimate Edition. We go over all of the common issues we know of and the solutions you need to fix them!

Improper Bolts:
Polaris has yet to even acknowledge this major screw up! Cars coming straight off the showroom floor with horrible clunking sounds throughout the whole suspension! I wish they had no caused this ridiculous problem... But The only real solution unfortunately is to swap out all the suspension bolts to save yourself thousands of $ in damages that will be caused to your chassis mounts down the road!

Front Shock Forks:
Solution is to have your shock forks swapped out for stronger billet ones. These take some real work to swap. Also need at least MAP gas to torch the loctite out of the stock shock fork, also need a good heavy duty vise with some type of aluminum soft jaws to hold the shock shaft.

We will most likely make a video of us swapping these when ours arrive soon! Check back soon for the link to our forks.

Upper Ball Joints:
These ball joints have been used for years in all the different models. It’s also had issues for years I don’t need to say much there’s tons of videos out there going over the issues with these on the other model of RZRs.
Swap them out with Keller or Hypertech for the best ones!

Feel free to comment what issues you’ve seen on your ride. Or comment what other things you’d like us to go over in a video!

Polaris has a well known history of making great cars with lots of problems. They are the General Motors of the off road world. Building cars with dangerous, unforgivable defects then denying theirs a problem. My General had doors that would pop open constantly because the door latches were cheap garbage. The dealer would never acknowledge the problem existed. Deny, deny, deny. The next model year came with an entirely new automotive style latch that solved the problem. I asked the dealer if they would update my car with the new latches and if the previous latches weren’t an issue why did the manufacturer change the design. The dealer continued to deny my car had a problem and refused to fix my car.

They look and perform amazing, but how many rzr have you seen with only 3-5k miles that have a brand new motor? That’s ridiculous for a $25-30k machine. Plus many times they find ways to not fulfill the warranty. Not cool.

Thank you for posting. No doubt the pro R is next level but knowing Polaris…I’m going to give it another year or two before moving on from my turbo S. I’m sure they’ll have this platform dialed soon.

With the cost of these things it is ridiculous there are so many shortcut cheap out things to deal with as an owner of a new $30k plus machine. Even the new xp1000 costs $25k by the time you add taxes and fees for the cheapest one.

Is it the same for the pro xp’s? Do you make a kit for that model if required? 2022 Pro XP4 probably the same as Pro R, thanks

I love my pro r. But coming from 3 different can am x3 (most recently 2022 smart shox x3). The rzr feels a little more loose. The x feels tight. My rzr seat feels loose also.

its funny BOTH of the aftermarket bolt kits are not 100%, MOST of the bolts in the kit still have too short of a shoulder to contact both tabs, the "shank" thickness of the OEM bolts and aftermarket are the same! Its only the 1/16" of an inch where the shoulder ends and the threads start. Which the threads have to be thinner that's where the nut engages. So much mis information out there. The real problem is the holes in the frame are oversized for the bolts, Polaris needs tighter tolerances, and Canam is worse in the regard.

I have a pro r 4 ultimate. Clunks hitting bumps.

I assume that if any of these issues fail during the factory warranty, Polaris would fix the problem.

Anyone else dealing with the heat issues inside the cab? The pro r’s are so freaking hot

No idea why hard working folks buy this Polaris junk. Get a KRX and never look back.

Is there anybody that makes a properly shaped bolt kit for these? That way you can swap them out in one day instead of trying to piece things together. And also is there a link for the Keller ball joints?
