Desktops can be more powerful than a Laptop if you spec it out. My desktop is an i9 with 128GB Ram and 2 4TB SSDs, and I can upgrade the video card and other things whenever I want. They are also faster in that they don't slow due to heat like a laptop. To each his own. Me? I have both.
