I think the Heavy action is the way to go after you’ve got the initial M Spinning and MH bait caster. I just enjoy power fishing a lot and I throw a lot of things on my 7’3 H/F that most people wouldn’t probably. It’s just very universal imo. And I don’t fish many crankbaits since I fish mostly shallow grass ponds/lakes.

This was the video that I needed when starting out. Took me a while to figure it out but I totally agree with your choice of rods, though I would rank the heavy casting before the medium casting (frogging > jerkbait).

My brother is just starting out, looks like he won't have to spend 100s of hours deciding how to wisely spend his $$ (if you can say spending $100s of dollars on fishing gear is wise 😁)
