Just a small fact, most paper is mostly made of wood pulp, it is abrasive. It is fantastic for polishing metal with a bit of polish. It is fatal for cleaning plastic. Anyone who wears spectacles will know what happens when you use paper towel or tissues to clean their lenses over a period of time. That's why lens cleaning tissues are made with paper with a high rag content/low wood pulp content. So to all the trolls extolling this video, I hope you get a sore bottom next time you have the runs, remember that's wood product you're scrubbing your behind with!

You are not supposed to have solidified resin on the FEP! If you are getting scratches on it, it's due to scraping them off. If you do have some solid resin stuck, push lightly underneath the film and they should come off easily without scraping.

I've found that trying to scrape away small solidified bits on the fep inevitably tucks them between the fep sheet and the metal frame, making it a hard task to remove, It's better to take them with a small piece of scotch tape.

If something gets stuck on the film I just touch those from the bottom of the film and they pop off, then I don't have to use pad at all.

I never use a scraper on the FEP, just push slightly underneath to get it off. and secondly, never use normal tissue paper! it will scratch the film. Get cheap microfiber cloths and cut them up into squares and use those instead. you can also use regular dish soap to clear up haziness on the film. Just make sure you clean out all the resin before washing it in the sink.. Hope this helps

Would recommend using a silicon spatula instead of those scrapers. They mark up the FEP way too easily. Silicon is much more gentle.

I notice that even in the video when the vat is replaced, the film is foggy, is this to be expected?

Good, sometimes I get holes in the printed pieces, even though I clean the tank and look, I don't know what it can be, sometimes I get it right and other times I get perfect channels where it seems that the grape does not give light

The filter mesh doesn't fit all the way into the bottle in your video. If you have a lot of resin in the tank will it drip through the mesh areas onto the bottle's screw threads?

N00b question - is it fair to say that, despite this video, you should never, ever use a scraper of any kind to clean/clear off the FEP?

Newbie’s question: do you still need some alcohol to clean the tank even if you’re using water washable resin?

After I cleaned my vat in a similar way, it's now super hazy. It's doesn't seem to be affecting my prints, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is acceptable or not?

The LCD is fine but screen of my vat is completely scratched after my 1st test print, is that normal? Will the scratches affect my screen?

Just cleaned it with the spatula thingy and got a hole in it. The manuals even warnng from doing so. Now I have to change it

Hi there, just was looking for the option "tank clean" on my 3/4 year old Mars Pro. Where the button should be is nothing. I only have Exposure. I already tried re flashing the firmware with the files provided on the elegoo-site.

Can anyone help?
