for the mono x, do you apply two layers? One on the screen inside the black tape, and the other larger across all of it seals with tape at the edges?

So on a Saturn 2 8k you leave the tape gasket in place and put the screen protector over it? I just got a Mach5 protector for my saturn 2 8k and was wondering.
