For my mum's 60th birthday, I took a 2 week trip to Vietnam with my family. This is what happened.

I like how Joey's travel blog rarely puts music in the background, it makes the video feel more natural and actual experience of his travel.

As a Vietnamese fan, i'm glad Joey was enjoying the traveling experience in Vietnam. Btw, just a small correction only, Hanoi is Vietnam's Capital city, while Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam's major economic center, which is why most people mistook HCMC for the capital.

Hehe anyway, thank you for showing us your trip. Hope someday you will be back in Vietnam for more experience. I would recommend trying Vietnamese authentic street foods, they are delicious!

Your mom was turning 60 and yall still climbed like 3 different mountains on her birthday vacation? That is impressive. It's nice that she's able to go out and see these beautiful locations in person.

That guy with the table across from you guys' at the cafe was a real MVP. You can see him motioning and talking to the cafe staff concerned you guys weren't mixing your egg coffees before drinking it which was why the staff came up to you and told you what you were supposed to do.

Somehow, it feels oddly refreshing to see Joey or the boys in another country other than Japan 😂 Don't mind more travel vlogs!

Many people mistake HCM city as the capital, but it’s actually Hanoi
It seems like the tropical weather gives you a hard time traveling, but I’m glad that you are able to explore some beautiful sites in Vietnam ❤️

Vietnam looks absolutely beautiful.

BTW, a good way to remember the difference between stalactites and stalagmites is stalactites have to hold tight to the ceiling or they'll fall, and if a stalagmite grows tall enough it might reach the ceiling.

Joey learned fast: In most of Southeast Asia, the higher up you go, the less humid it becomes (with some exceptions for coastal areas, or anywhere near large bodies of water); this is usually why people escape the hot weather by either going up the hills, or vacationing by the ocean. Japan is further up above the equator, and thus would usually be cooler and drier.
Joey and his family hit all the great spots and took joy not only in the scenery and the food, but also getting to know the people they met in their travels. I think that makes for a perfect tourist experience.

I live in Vietnam currently, (native New Yorker) and watching this felt like a trip down memory lane. The first time I went to Vietnam I went to most of the same places that you went to (Sa Pa, Hạ Long bay, Hội An, Marble Mountain, District 1...). The first wide shot of Hanoi that you took in this video was from a venue that I went to last week! Glad you had a great time here! I've been living here for 5 years and it's been a cathartic experience for sure.

This video actually made me miss home. I'm from Vietnam but I've been living in Ireland for the past 5 years now. It's nice to see my culture seen by someone I watch for such a long time and seeing some of the place I recognise as well. Thank you Joey. Maybe come and visit Ho Chi Minh next time, would love to show you around.

The anxiety level experienced just watching Joey through the screen was palpable. Super contrast at the end from all the beauty and wonder of the first half. Definitely a powerful journey and an incredible vlog, Joey. (And Happy B-Day to The Anime Mom!)

I went to Vietnam last year as part of a group tour and it was an amazing experience. It was so much fun to see each new place Joey visited and to be like “hah! I was there!”
The food was great, the history was super interesting and insightful, the architecture was amazing.
The only downside was the heat and humidity but you have to expect that in South East Asia.
But anyway, I could live of Bahn Mi for the rest of my life.

Hiii Joey, glad to see you enjoyed yourself in Vietnam. I saw you in Sapa but wanted to leave you alone with your family (absolutly not because of me freezing in the presence of you lmao). You're always welcome back to Vietnam and show case what Vietnam is really about!! Sending our Vietnamese love to you ❤❤
