How to make a full Drupal 7.x backup using file manager and databases on your control panel with no modules. In this Drupal tutorial, I go through the process of moving a Drupal 7 install from a HostGator server to a GoDaddy server. This video shows how to copy the data base and files for a fresh install, but this process can be applied to any Drupal backup, install, or restore.

The steps are as follows:
Back up files from the old host through File Manager in Control Panel
-Download back up of drupal site
Backup database of Drupal site
-Export SQL database using defaults from old server/host
Create database/user/permissions on the new SQL server or host
-Import SQL database using defaults to new server/host
Upload files to the new host through FTP
7) Enjoy your new host and backup of your Drupal 7.x site!

thanks; you go by pretty quick, but it did make sense. Any chance you could help me with a slightly different challenge? My current site is just HTML, with a drupal version under a /test directory. I just need to delete all the old HTML stuff and move the /test the the main root level.
thanks,
Mark
