It’s been 10 years, yet people still talk about the 458.

This is how you know you didn’t make a good car, but a great car.

These 458 variants would never look as good as the original 458 italia

That 6% increase was lost on that dude by hitting the rev limiter all the time!

Ferrari always changed the design every 2nd model, 308-328, 348-355, 360-430, 458-488 but now they added the f8 to the 458-488 family. I thought they would have kept the pattern going. Then again, the 458 Italia was such an incredible leap in the entire automotive design world that I guess it makes sense to keep going with it. Look at Lambo, 20 years later and their cars, the Huracan and Aventador are still part of the original Gallardo and Murcielago design family.

His gear changing is the same as the vtec boys.

Nice to see that the 458 Italia continues to evolve.

Ferrari 458 Speciale remains the ultimate one.

Really appreciate the quality of the content from Autocar. Way more useful and informative than most other channels. Ferrari, on the other hand seems to have nailed the concept of the V8 twin-turbo engines. It's the power unit that's the main event in every Ferrari. This one has the sense of occasion most turbo motors can't even imagine.

Didn't think about it, but the name makes sense. A tribute to V8 Ferraris. Hybridization/Electric is inevitable, and so too is the end of the bloodline for the mid-engined V8 Ferrari. Everyone here just rambles on about the 458 Italia/Speciale and their N/A V8, which don't get me wrong, I too hold them in the highest regard. But from a pure technical perspective, getting 710 hp from 3.9L is a lot more impressive than 600 hp from 4.5L (Still flippin epic though).

Everyone should celebrate that these cars even exist, whether you can afford them or not. There isn't a single "mass-market" supercar manufacturer that hasn't tried forced induction/electrification recently. Hell Lambo just announced their hybrid V12 Sian. Don't only miss internal combustion when it's gone.

Thank you Ferrari, for keeping pure ICE alive for that little bit longer. Also, the spec on this blue F8 Tributo is spot on

10% aerodynamic efficiency does not necessarily equal 10% more downforce, does it? I mean it can do, but by itself doesn't it just mean less drag for the same amount of downforce?

If we didn't have McLaren in the super car space we would still have slower N/A v8 Ferraris. Now we have mental v8 Ferraris. This is a good direction

Save yourself a fortune on depreciation and get a 9000 RPM revving natural V8 - 458

Anyone else would rather have a 458 or 458 speciale?!!?

This car is so slick. There is a delicateness to it’s lines that was present in the 458 but absent in the 488. A beautiful car indeed.

Does every middle-aged British man look exactly the same?

Everyone comments how they’d rather have a 458, but the problem is these people have never driven a 488 let alone an f8. It’s like a 458 on steroids, of course you lose a bit of the noise but until you’ve felt how good a 488 is let alone an f8 your opinion will be very different. As Chris Harris said, it’s hard to miss the old NA V8’s when the new turbos are just so good. Chris Harris doesn’t talk BS and the sales volume of the 488 speaks for itself. All the Ferrari owners I know have upgraded from the 458 to 488 without a single regret

You can definitely see the suspension at work keeping the F8 compliant an under control. Impressive - given the road conditions. Lovely in blue.

Yo I know a lot of people don't like the design but in this blue the lines and curves look damn good.

Also if everyone is comparing this car to previous Ferrari's instead of its competitors then I do believe that Ferrari is doing something right.

Numbers say so much...but Pininfarina spoke to my soul. That's the DIFFERENCE.

It’s gonna be hard to top the 458, but this car, especially in the blue looks pretty striking . Certainly not as beautiful as the 458, though it has a pleasant blend of futuristic styling and elegance through simplicity .... definitely one of the best non-pininfarina Ferrari’s
