26th Century Starfleet

Star Trek has been set consistently in the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and now 25th century, but what about the 26th? The 2500s were visited once in Enterprise but we do not get to see the setting in full so what can we draw on from that brief visit and what other events, canon or not, have taken place in this era?

Considering it is possible the majority of Romulan people could have reunited with their Vulcan brothers by the 26th century resulted with their homeworld being rename Ni'Var...I could see this being the time for the initial movement to equip all Starfleet ships with cloaks devices

As Q said: _"For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. THAT, is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebulae, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence."_

I remember vaguely a line from Q on his first visit to Voyager, he was surprised to see Starfleet in the Delta Quadrant and said something about it being too early by like a century. I'm hazy on this though.

I really want to see a Star Trek series set in another galaxy with the Enterprise-J.

I feel that the Klingons could be vastly different due to Wolf's influence. Unlike other kingons who only give lip service to honor, Worf actually acted as a true honorable warrior and there is no way he isn't going to be famous among Klingons for the many great acts he did for both the empire an the Federation; including being the first Klingon to be in a command officer position of the federation flagship starship and even given command of at least one of their battleships.
we also saw him teaching other Klingons a better way to live like telling them to perceive time as an enemy to make farming an admiral battle.

Basically by the twenty six century I feel the Klingons will truly be the honorable warriors who other can look at with admiration rather than fear and disgust.

I love that Star Fleet's super-flat saucers imply ceiling and floor windows. Imagine getting a cabin on the ventral hull and your floor has windows down into the endless nothingness of deep space.

In the enterprise episode azati prime Daniels does state the Klingon empire is a member of the UFP by the 26th century

Every time I see the J, I can't help but to see President Skroob running and running and running to get to the bridge. Thanks for the correction Eric. 👍

I wonder what opportunities could be opened through investigating the Andromeda galaxy, as it is not only larger as the Milky Way but regarding the Kelvan Empire also further developed than our galaxy's (current) powers.

Though currently limited in information, the 26th century is indeed an interesting time for Starfleet.

It's quite funny that the Borg were introduced as a major threat whose only purpose was assimilation, and later on Starfleet assimilated the Borg.

8:54 It was simply the last time Q (De Lanci) or his Son was around to annoy them.
Think about it: How often did they encounter another Q, unless he was _also_ there? I think the answer is: 0 times.
I think Quinn was the only time he was the 2nd Q appearing to the scene.
He was the one that kept looking for contact with Humanity and the Federation. The rest kinda ignore them, like the UFP would a pre-warp society.

The name "Paladin class" implies a more combat-focused vessel. After all, Paladins in fantasy are soldiers, specifically heavily armored knights that are often used as elite shock troops.

I can’t help but say that the fantastic graphics and imagery of the “UNIVERSE Class” Enterprise - particularly the front of the oval shaped saucer – the front of which reminds me organically very much like a gigantic maw of a whale shark :-) it’s scale is just unbelievably enormous, but standing back and looking at the ship as a whole gives the impression of an under sea creature mashed with technological / practical design elements that keep it feasibly locked with the design of ships Prior???
thank you again Rick for a quite engrossing invitation i this case to draw comparisons, contrasts, speculative design based in and out of canon - and Star Trek Online of course.

Frankly, the Universe class is *so* big, i can't help wondering if its possibly a generational ship.

I really like the 31st century Eternal science vessel. Of course my ship is broken as hell but still cool.
