Great and in-depth review as always!
I've been waiting for these colorvu upgrades for several years now.
But Hikvision is still holding off other important upgrades as marketing strategy.
I'm still happy with my old ColorVu's. I think I'm gonna wait till they release a 4k PTZ version.
A 4k with 30X optical version of this ColorVu would be a monster!

I currently own four of these cameras and I am wondering if it is possible to turn off the light while still maintaining the camera's IR video functionality. Do you happen to know if this camera has the option to turn off the light, and if so, could you please provide instructions on how to enable the IR night view feature?

Wish mine did the whole motion detection and tracking thing. Same model 2021 version firmware updated and mine does not go from yellow to blue once I’ve set it. Very frustrated that it’s not working.

Hello from the USA.. It seems we in the US are way behind. Can you set up patrols using the positions and can you assign other like units to pan/tilt based on an event so that the subject that is in the ROI is passed to next camera after it leaves the FOV. Love the size and form factor of the unit. it seems they have stripped down the unit and just added the COLORVU technology. I wish they left the varifocal lens but it seems all the new US COLORVU units are a fixed lens. Love your videos! Cheers

Thanks for all you informative videos!. How much Hik Connect control is there for this camera using only Android phone app? Can you control all the settings like shutter speed, night vision etc. or is the phone app mostly just for playback and the settings are accessed on PC program or NVR? Thanks.

Hello DAITECH, another great video. I have this camera, there is a Zoom but it might be a digital zoom? Second, the Supplement Light configuration is different from Colorvu G1 series. The G1 series is under System Settings>External Devices and the "PTZ" model Supplement Light settings are under Image>Display Settings>Back Light Settings. Took me a while to figure that out. Thanks for showing that I thought I missed something.

That`s a great video and also a good camera.This video made me buy one. Now that i got it i couldn`t figured out how to set it to start to record when detect motion and stop when the motion is gone. Can you set that on this camera? If yes, how?

Hello again, Daitech! I am seriously on the fence regarding this variant of PTZ (Digital Zoom).. I love the Darkfighter UK variant with 2.8-12mm optical zoom that is not available in USA. I Love the Colorvu technology with the advanced Accusence VCA. 2 things? Is the plastic housing and materials up to the challenge of outdoor exposure in Cold Winter months, Etc?
Has the firmware been updated so the 2 way audio functions properly with NVR?

Does this camera, DS-2DE3A400BW, able to track an object by panning and tilting as soon as the object meets the parameters (ie threshold settings, within the monitor area, etc…) ? If the object triggers the camera and the object goes beyond the monitor area, does the camera continue to follow the object by panning and tilting? I have been searching everywhere but unable to find the answer.
