25 people have been hospitalised after a Metrorail train derailed from its tracks in the Western Cape.

Tuesday's accident took place at Paarl, in the Boland.

It is understood the train was from Cape Town enroute to Wellington when the incident occurred.

No fatalities have been reported.

Corbin August is at the site of the crash and joins us live with an update.

There is a difference between accident and derailment( both are incidents) Derailment = one train. Accident is more than one train. Become educated news vulture😂😂😂

Loco on its side means split incoming points, ....to me that means two possibillities, ....Lack of maintenance of points and/or loco wheels, sabotage. Clearly the railways is bankrupt and has become a plitical football since tha Da stepped into railways.

That's why I'm so thankful that I don't have a TV for the last 12 years. The reports are not up to standard. It wants you to go to sleep it's that boring.
