When vinyl chloride burns, it combines with water vapor in a chemical reaction that creates dioxins and hydrochloric acid. So, dioxins and acid rain fell across several East Coast states and Eastern Canada. That is where the dioxin testing needs to take place - that entire area.

Yesterday someone riding their bike 14 miles downwind from EP, said his eyes were burning and watering so much he couldn't ride. This air filled with toxins is just lingering how long after??? I've heard reports of people 50 miles away tasting plastic in their water, people in Canada alerted by strange plastic odor. The seriousness of this is being downplayed

Why is Norfolk Southern is involved in the clean up? "EPA" or perhaps other government agencies should organize the clean up and running costs should be payed by Norfolk Southern. It is insane and fights my sense of justice. You wouldn't put a knife attacker in charge of doing life saving surgeries of the victims?

My friend owns a farm 8 miles outside of EP, he sells meat from a farm store, his sales are down 60%. That means he could be out of business within a month or two. I don’t think they are realizing how much this will affect the region not just the town.
