I love the reviews of the spare tire subs, which is why I subbed when I watched your JBL bass hub pro install.

I have the JBL one without an amp and it rocks in my 2014 Mazda 3 sedan running on the sub channel of a Kicker KX-8005. Thanks for showing the first video with the amplified JBL.

I removed the hatch cover and replaced with a Birch box 4¾ deep added a ¾ ring to gap the magnet downward firing DD redline 612 shallow sub tuned box to 30hz still have full access to everything under and 100% cargo space can not describe the bass it's way louder than my old JL TW3

Lots of scratches on that right out of the box. Yeesh

You maybe want to put a nylock nut on there and just have the appropriate tool to remove of needed back there. All the vibration otherwise might regularly loosen that up.

you need to show more interesting new tech like this.

I've put the cerwin Vega amplified version in a challenger and was super surprised at the performance. It's not a trunk shaker but delivered amazing bass for what it is.

We have a 2015 Murano with a factory Bose spare tire subwoofer. Has two fairly beefy 5" 2-ohm woofers but they only get 28W each out of the Bose amp 🤣 This Diamond on a decent amp looks quite interesting as a replacement

protip, if you are going to crank down the bolt, make sure you keep a spare tool to remove it road side in case the spare is ever needed.

I just installed a jbl basshub pro and we was shocked how much bass it produced

I’d image having the proper tire pressure in the spare would be helpful to keep the spare and sub secured properly.

So which one do you prefer, JBL or Diamond?

Just an observation: Is the nut holding the structure in place the same size as a lug nut? If not, then it seems that a person with one of these would need to add a secondary wrench to the tire change tools to get the spare out.
Granted, one extra wrench vs all that trunk space seems to make it worth it.

Now I guess I have to install the Cerwin Vega unit I have sitting around into my wife's car to see how it do.

A small 500 watt amp paired to a 300 Watt RMS sub seems a bit overpowered.
Also, did it sound better or worse with the trunk floor liner down?
Hopefully this or the JBL will fit flush in a 2023 KIA Sportage!

I really want one of these, but imagine I am going to have the same issue with it being too tall. In my Blazer the cargo deck has a hinge and is flush with the bottom of the rear hatch so raising it isn't really an option. I will probably have to go with the slim version but I feel like that is a little bit of a compromise. I wonder how the sound compares between this and the slim version.

I just seen that there is a slim-line version of this think you will be able to get a hold of that one for testing???

How would this compare to the JBL BassPro Hub with the built in amp?
