JBL Stadium BassHub spare tire subwoofer | Crutchfield

JBL solves the age-old problem of where to fit a subwoofer without sacrificing cargo space with their Stadium Series BassHub. It mounts inside the rim of your spare tire in certain vehicles, giving you deep bass that emanates from an otherwise unused part of your car.

The BassHub features an 11-inch woofer and mounts inside the rim of your spare tire, and handles up to 600 watts of continuous power while delivering deep bass down to 20 Hz. You can wire it at 2- or 8 ohms, and it's built tough for life in the car. For those times you might need to access the spare tire, an included plug-in harness lets you disconnect the BassHub quickly.

The JBL Stadium BassHub fits spare tires that are mounted inside the car, and you must have a removable spare tire post to make it work. If your car or truck fits that description, the BassHub might just be the perfect way to get deep bass without sacrificing valuable cargo space.

Thanks JR. I'm really surprised that auto manufactures just haven't put bass transducers under the seats for the perceived feeling of bass. They go to great lengths to pipe in "fake" engine noise, so how hard is it for them to pop a few transducers under the seats. Separate/ additional amp channels (e.g. 5 and 6) and have separate settings in the menu so they can be mild or wild, or they are tied into the EQ's bass setting. Pretty easy to do now since everything is digital.

How significant is the difference in bass quality of this 600w version vs the 200w Basspro Hub version?

I have a 2020 Chevy trax and I’m trying to find a sub that will fit discretely but give the ultimate bass. Whether that be a spare tire sub or under the seat. I want the ultimate bass profile in my trax. Maybe even connect multiple woofers such as the tire sub and under the seat subs or even door subs. I’m down and stoked for it all. I want others to hear my boom when I’m driving to work or even to a friends house. But not visible to the eye. Thank you ! I look forward hearing back from you !

Thanks JR for this video ! I just bought a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 6 stocks speakers. While the Highs and Mids are clear, I am looking at a solution for improving the lack of Lows. Could you tell me if the JBL Stadium BassHub and/or JBL BassPro Hub would work for this car ? Anything particular I need to look for (i.e. compatibility with the stock entertainment system). Thank you !

Thanks for this video. I have a quick question: Is this Sub will fit in a 2013 VW Touareg Spare Tire?

Would this or an under seat sub like the kicker hideaway give you better sound quality in a Sedan?

Greetings, guys! I'm looking for an option to add a nice solid punch to my BMW e39 sedan current setup.
Currently I've got Kicker KSS504 (front+rear) powered by Rockford Fosgate R2-500X4.
Is this spare mount woofer can be an option, considering it's sedan? Won't the major part of bass get lost in the trunk space? And can the 200-300 watt option be paired with the R2-500X4 in a bridge? Would appreciate much an advice!

I’m interested in this product for a 2023 Mazda CX 30. I have the basic sound system and looking for more bass depth. Just wondering how difficult the install would be for this.

Does the 6.5" depth include the top of the screw to hold the subwoofer down?

I was considering installing this in my 2024 rav4 hybrid. I have the standard oem speakers in my vehicle, not the jbl upgrade package. I was curious if I could install this and if it would have enough power without installing an amp. I thought it has an integrated 200w in it. I was also considering replacing all 4 door speakers and 2 dash speakers with the coax Infinity reference series. Ref-6532ex in the doors and ref-3032cfx in the dash. Would all this be compatible?

I have a sony XM-N502 amplifier powering a sony XS-NW1202S on BTL.

I find this setup little boomy for my taste and rear passengers seems to get a mild headache from this.

I am not a loud listener and i was thinking if i should replace the sony setup with JBL BassPro Hub 200W active unit.

any help would be appreciated.

I haven't been able to find some specs for the BassPro Hub, like the final Fs, woofer and enclosure. Maybe even Qtc, Sd and xMax. I'm wondering because after installing this like it was intended, it occurs to me how much other stuff surrounding it might have an influence on the path from driver to listener. A sealed enclosure on one side and a vented enclosure on the other, similar to a 4th order bandpass or some other such horn type path just to exit the under cargo spare tire area in an SUV.

Doesn’t it sound muffled when the back seats are up? I mean the sound will have to go through the cover over the spare tire and the back seat. How loud can it get. Just for kicks, can you post a video of it playing with a DB meter?

Will this work with a 2023 Mazda CX5? Also, will it be a significant upgrade from the already included bose sub or will it be just a marginal upgrade?

Hello. Will channels 7&8 of a dsp4086 be able to drive this subwoofer? Thanks.

Would it fit 2019 civic si 4d? Build in amp? Can I still leave the trunk floor covered on? Would it sit flat? Thanks.

Would this perfect with a 10 inch subwoofer? Makes around 450RMS. And my amp has another channel it isn’t using.
