Famous last words from a Ford owner "it'll be fine."

SNAP!! 😂😂

For $20.00 he could have rented their 1 ton truck instead of risk trashing his, breaks, power steering, transmission, engine, tires, rims, and people's lives. This was purely an inexperienced truck owner!

😲 i wonder how many bricks went though the window at the first brake application

I think the trailer hitch sitting on the ground was holding the truck up still...

I worked as a lot loader for home depot one summer and you wouldn't believe the people who would want you to load their vehicles down like this. The most incredible thing I ever saw was when this old couple wanted me to load half a pallet of quikcrete (about 15 80lb bags of dry cement) into the back of their Hyundai tuscon. That poor cars back end was so close to the ground that I thought the front end would pop a wheelie. I told the manager that it couldn't be safe and he said once they leave the parking lot it's on I loaded all kinds of stuff like this for people! Once a man came in to pick up his order of 2x6's which were about 12 ft long and when I wheeled them out to the loading bay he came backing into the slot with his DODGE CARAVAN! with the back seats laid down.. I did the best I could with my twine, plastic wrap and red flags and away he drove with the back hatch up just flapping in the breeze! Ridiculous!

All to save $18 in gas so he didn't have to make a 2nd trip.

Had a '76 F-150 that regularly haulled that amount, maybe a tad more in wet hickory. Had a '93 F-250 that repeatedly hauled over 5k in the bed and still had a little room left on the overloads. These loads we're hauled out of the woods, through the creek, down and back up out of the creek bottom, and down the highway with no problems.

The operator should have never loaded that much weight. That’s how people get killed.

Tires are not rated for all that weight.

My Ford Ranger rated at half ton was upgraded with hvy duty shocks and leaf springs. I could haul a cu yd of gravel. I did it once. My truck survived but I wouldn't do that again. I love my Ranger. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

My grandfather and i used to load our rusted out 90's soviet pickup truck with 1 ton of liquid fertilizer and carry it around the field. The truck never broke a sweat and we still have it.

I think a lot of people are under the impression that if the bed is the same size on the 1/2; 3/4 and 1 ton trucks then they all haul the same weight.

Nice, I haul lots of water with my 05 lariat and she takes 1200L loads every time. Apparently comes out to 2645 pounds when you convert L of water to pounds.

We use to tow an 18000-pound backhoe (and trailer) with a 2 wheel drive F 150 did it for years. No problems.

I run a few 97-03 f150s for plowing. We generally haul 25 × 50# salt bags per trip. A couple of rejects loaded a few trucks with full pallets of 50 bags (2, 500#), and it crushed the bed frames. The bed uses thin square tubes that bolt directly to the frame. The f250s are designed to haul this kind of weight, but f150 is definitely not.

"Attention all available Wal-Mart employees, there is a clean up of bricks in the truck unloading area above the Build tough Ford Truck which is flattened like a pancake".
