**In This video**
First, I give an overview of my pop-up sprinkler system showing the water tank, pump, solenoid valves, timer and pop-up sprinkler watering zones. I then talk through how your system should look by showing different ways to lay out your watering zones and how not to do it. Next, I direct you to my video “How to Install pop-up sprinklers” to help design, test and install your irrigation system. This will enable you to design your system by drawing your plan for your zones, listing all components you may need to purchase and getting your system in the ground, ready for use.
I then show you my water pump and talk about the irrigation or MDPE pipes you can use and the fittings necessary to connect the system to your water source. I briefly cover Solenoid valves & Timer that operates the system, although I will cover installation together with a rain sensor in a different video. Next we cover MDPE Fittings & Connectors necessary for your system, together with Drainage valves which help prevent pipes & sprinklers bursting during the winter freeze. I next give some tips on Tools and Equipment used to install & maintain my system.
Lastly, I walk through different types of Pop-Up Sprinklers available, Guard Collars to protect your sprinklers and things to consider when buying components for your system. There's nothing more satisfying than sitting back, watching your pop-up sprinklers appear out of the ground once you fire up your system. Pure Joy!!
We also have a special guest on the show. Happy installing!!
