First of all, to everybody who is criticising Stephanie, Micaela, and Teal in the comments; you may not like it, that's fine everybody has different tastes. But what you need to understand is that Cher was very involved with the process of making this show, she picked these three ladies from everybody who auditioned, she gave them notes on how to talk, walk, and sing, and she loves the show herself. So again you may not like it that's fine keep it to yourself, but you can't say that "Cher deserved better" and stuff like that because CHER PICKED THESE THREE LADIES!

Well this is impossible. Nobody can accomplish this goal. On the Broadway stage, Ms. Block has to develop a character called 'Cher' that reminds an audience of the original 'Cher' while that original woman is still alive and working at being the 'Cher' character she created over half a century. The actress Block has to make this character, her own as opposed to an impersonation because impersonations by definition lack the depth to sustain a full length play, and because she can't possibly duplicate Cher that precisely. To get the audience to believe and accept her approximation, is going to take most of the first act for those who are willing to allow it at all. Now at Tony's, she has to do the same thing in two or three minutes.
