This is 2nd session of Cyber Security workshop arranged for teachers. It was delivered by Bernard L. Menezes from IIT Bombay.

In this session he talked about Cryptography, Encryption/Decryption, Security Key Cryptography, Public Key Cryptography, Elementary Ciphers, Caesar Cipher, Attack on the Caesar Cipher, Elementary Transposition Cipher, Block vs Stream Ciphers, Building blocks of a product cipher, 3-Round SPN Network, S-Box, P-Box, Electronic Code Book Mode (ECB), CBC mode of operation, Applications, MAC construction, RSA background, Cryptography hash function and Properties and RSA signature.

This Cyber Security workshop for teachers was conducted from July 10 to July 20, 2014, under T10KT, sponsored by NMEICT, MHRD, Government of India, New Delhi.

This workshop had been arranged for teachers at various Remote Centers. A large number of participating teachers were assembled at nearest Remote Centers of their colleges where IIT Bombay faculty delivered live lectures from IIT Bombay in distance mode through A-VIEW software.
