New to real fishing skills this year. Started studying and taking written notes in May. Bought my first non-closet rod this year. Did what you said and caught more big fish than i ever dreamed. It seemed like I'd come in after the weekend was 24 hours over and catch all the big ones nobody knew were there. I'd drag my wife along when I could and catch her limit too. I really like how you took time out at the end of the video and talked about skin protection. In 2016 I found a spot just above the collar line on the right side of my neck. It to looked "different " and was about the size of pencil eraser. Had my doctor check it out and it was malignant melanoma. I had surgery and all was removed and the margins were clear but it was scary, if we wouldn't have caught it I wouldn't be here now. I had 40 years of sum damage on my neck and face. Now I cover up completely and I hope because you mentioned it some of your viewers will get checked out too. Thanks for caring!

Matt, I developed one on my cheekbone. Also had the surgery. As soon as another spot was barely visible I had my Dermatologist "Take a big divot when you biopsy". It was cancer, but she got it all. Glad you are addressing. Mine was probably caused by heavy sailing days in Hawaii for 8 years.

Prayers up Matt that the biopsy comes back negative. My gut feeling is it isn’t serious but it’s definitely something to protect in the future and to use more caution for the whole fam while fishing. Pray for the best and prepare for the worst! 🙏🙏🙏
