I need help, I chose my first spell to be a self regeneration one, costing 270 mana. Since I start with only 100, I paired the spell to a staff so that I could use it. The problem is, whenever I use it, I do not gain any magic experience, and the staff destroys itself after a few uses, along with my spell... basically, I am stuck with no way of progressing in any way. Help?

idk if its to late to ask but. Im on a multiplayer server i made the altar exactly how it shows i did exactly what u did but when i throw the items like the blank rune and stuff nothing happends it just sits on the ground. Anything im missing or is my version crappy im using the FTB launcher and playing Horizons. Iam using ars magica 2 as well i made sure

when i open the book there is no spacing for the words. is there a way to fix this?
