Former Protestant pastor Keith Nester shares what he wishes our protestant brothers and sisters understood about Catholicism. The Catholic faith is often misunderstood, which leads to judgment and condemnation based on falsehoods. In this video, Keith shares a few of those misconceptions. This is not a video designed to bash protestants. Rather, to help our non-Catholic friends understand the faith better. If you are a protestant who already knows these things, then I am very happy. God bless you all!

I have been Catholic 2 years longer! Yay, Catholic. My friends don't argue Bible with me because I was well read before. My friends also know I would have never converted unless I had prayed first. God called me here.

I wasn't Catechised in the Catholic Church as a boy I attended an Anglican Protestant School. I was Baptised Anglican as a child in the trinity. Later in my 20's an Anglican friend of mine tried to pick apart a Catholic friends faith by saying Mary is not holy and the Catholic faith is incorrect but I new instantly he was wrong. I was also struck by the simplicity and low wages a Catholic Priest lives on compared to an Anglican Vicar this told me by the Anglican and Catholic friends . I have to admit I was tempted at times to go to an American Evangelical Church but people who had been, told me it was too full on and appeared a little too interested in your donations and it was making some strange Appostles. Any how I started with my wife as a Catholic in my mid 20s and after much reading on the Church and Saints and going to Mass, praying the Rosary I became Catholic. The Church makes sense when you fully understand the faith. Oh I have to say my Mom had a Rosary and a Picture of Pope John Paul when I was a kid I think maybe her love of the Rosary guided me although she was an Anglican

I am a Protestant (Lutheran) and I love my Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ. I found this video especially helpful for understanding papal infallibility. I've listened to several Catholic apologists and I 've never heard it explained that way before. 🤯 Thank you!

I wish Protestants knew more about ...
1) the true history of their own faith and the true history of the Catholic Church starting when it was founded by Jesus
2) the fullness of the faith, all the devotions, prayers, feast days, saints, writings etc. that bring such richness and history to our faith - i.e., there is more to our Faith that we can experience than reading the Bible (as necessary and wonderful as that is)
3) Mass is held every day. We can hear the gospel and other teachings of the Bible at Mass every day 4) You can go to Adoration, Confession on certain days or just sit before the Tabernacle (in the presence of Jesus) whenever the Church is open. Many Churches are open all day, every day for people to drop in and pray.
5) we believe in helping others in need as part of our dedication to Jesus.
6) Catholic missionaries have been establishing Churches, Schools, & Hospitals and converting others to the faith for 2000 years.
7) the Catholic Church commissioned a lot of beautiful and old sacred music and art that can be enjoyed to this day by all
8) No matter where you are traveling there is probably a local Catholic Church that can be attended for Mass on Sunday
9) not all priests are good at delivering homilies, but we are not there for that, so it is not as important to us. We are there for the Eucharist.
10) Mass is not for socializing; it is for reverent worship. Socializing takes place outside of Mass. Many neighborhood churches are attended by the same neighbors, school mates and family members you see all the time during the week so there is not as much of a need to visit with each other on Sunday. Plus, you have to get home to make Sunday dinner.

As I heard from a very Holy priest, , We Catholics not only have a personal relationship with Jesus, we have an intimate relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist. He loves us so much that He humbles Himself & stays in a piece of bread & wine, body, blood, soul & divinity. And wants us to consume Him. I encourage any, if you doubt, to look up Eucharistic miracles.

Would love for protestants to realize the difference between praise and worship. Seriously a big deal. That could solve a lot of Marian devotion issues. Signing songs is NOT worship. Great video. Love your fire 🔥!

Thank You Keith for helping all of us out here defending Our Dogma and Trying .... Trying .... Trying to make these Non Catholics to understand ....
--- What bugs me the most is as my Wife and I, Cradle Catholics for 72 years, when we join our Protestant Kids and their families ... My Son in Law always does the Meal Blessings, and at the end of Him Praying .... I insert the Sign of the Cross to myself and my Grandkids look at me everytime to see this happen ... Hahaha YET!!! .... Non of them ask why their Grandpa does this hahaha

---- One other small pet peave of mine .... When he does the Blessings of the Meal .... He as well as many protestants that i know, Bless evertyhing under the sun for 15 minutes, then finally a short blurb on God blessing the meal He asks God to Bless the kids, the grandparents, the lawnmower, the shingles on the roof, the trips we make to their house and back .... etc etc etc ....

Thank You again Keith for the fine work that you do !!! God Bless You !!!
--- also to go along with your Excellent video:
“There are not a hundred people in America who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions of people who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing.”
The Venerable Fulton J. Sheen

As always, Keith, your passion for your Catholic faith makes me cheer for you with a huge smile on my face as I listen to you. I'm a cradle Catholic and would love to be as bold about defending my Church as you are!! Someday, perhaps, with the intercession of the saints!! :)

Keith, loved it. Don't know how many opinions out there might change, but even just 1 person thinking more deeply about it makes this video worthwhile. And that's my point: If no one has told you lately how worthwhile your videos are, I'm telling you today. You meet a great need in the Church, my friend. God bless!

Thank you for this. So true. The dishonesty and bigotry about and towards Catholics by Protestants is so heartbreaking and also very frustrating. I’ve experienced the results of anti Catholic propaganda many, many times!

Your defence... your passion... your conviction... you are TRULY the conduit for our Protestant brethren to understand what our Mother Church is about. God bless you abundantly in everything you do and you've got yourself a new fan from Singapore! 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬

Keith one of the things that I can’t understand is that Protestants can believe that Ezekiel a prophet can be taken to heaven body and soul, but the Mother of God can’t be taken as well. She was born without original sin to give birth to our Lord and Savior. A Holy and unstained pure womb for our Lord Jesus to be born through. Hence the Mother of God. If the Blessed Mother was not pure, our Lord would be just a prophet and not the Savior.

Thank you for putting videos like this out there! I wish Protestants knew that Catholics believe whole heartedly that Christ’s death was sufficient and we DO NOT think that we can earn our own salvation.

About the Bible, Fr Mike Schmitz has an amazing Bible in a Year, best podcast ever, not only got me through the entire Bible but went into depth and helped me understand it so much better! Thinking of going through it all over again. Scripture is really important to us, really and truly, love God's word ❤️

Catholicism being "works based" is the main criticism I hear constantly from other Christians I admire. It would be so good for you to lay into that one! Thanks for all you do. You helped me on my journey home.
