Take a walk with me and my son as we gather up a FULL LIMIT of SNOWSHOE HARE from our SNARE line! I also show you how to butcher and cook a wild rabbit. Eating store bought food all the time is boring! Let's live a little like people used to, hunt, gather, cook!

Thanks for your donations Hwan, John, Tony, Brad, Fiete, John, Dan, Justin, Michael, Stephen, Aaron, Brad, Shaun, Brian, Kurt, Brian, BC Dirt, Sally, Michael!

Later, I will show you how to prepare a wonderful meal of rabbit stew with carrots, onion, potatoes, garlic, and spices. I'll also use some of the tender meat to make a pulled rabbit sandwich, a great meal from left-overs!

I will show you how to set snares on rabbit trails, how to create ideal conditions to catch even more rabbit and hares. Snaring rabbit is not difficult, but you need to understand the basics.

Spices For Rabbit Stew

1 teaspoon slat
3/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon basil
2 bay leaves
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon thyme

*By request, I have included a separate video on cleaning the hare. You can find it as unlisted, as YouTube does not look kindly on me when I provide people with skills that keeps them self reliant! Find the link in the description.*

You're a good papa bear, brother. Well done. I love the talk (although very inaudible) you gave to your boy, before dispatching the hare. It was very easy to see that you are raising a hunter/gather and not a Ted Bundy. Mucho respect Beardsman.

I lovehate you. Last few days ive been watching your videos after work (work as a bouncer, night shifts) to relax and get cozy, but instead of that I get hella hungry.

Very well made videos, Like your personality, your wife is a gem and your son is in amazing hands with you guys. Glad I found you in youtube.

I really love the talk after the cleaning of the animals. You could tell he was a little upset about it. But you were patient and talked it out with him. I'm sure he got some time to decompress in between as well. You never seemed impatient or angry or shameing. Didn't force the situation.

He is super brave to have wanted to learn to dispatch with you. I don't think I could have done it. I want to try it first with fish. I have watched my dad do it in the kitchen sink with guinea pigs, rabbits, old hens, and pigeons (He's from Peru)

Harder since I'm older but I think it is a very valuable lesson and I want to learn. The lesson of something sacrificing and the value of food/meat is important. So no waste.

I do the same with picking out bones when I cook for my family. Bones give amazing broth flavor too!

Love you take your son out and teach him how to be a proper woodsman. Much Dad love from another Dad that's proud to do this stuff too. Gotta teach the young how to do for themselves!

God bless you and your sweet family. Enjoy them while you're young. In 3 yrs. I'll be 70 yrs. old and all my children have grown up and left home. Teach them how to survive in an uncertain world.

Dude. You are a great dad. Teaching a kid what life is really about and to appreciate the things other cultures have to fight for every day is really important. Keep up the great work!

Man that sandwich at the end looked as tasty as the stew. Real intuitive having an unlisted video separate for optional related material.

Thank you for teaching your son the cycle of life but also to respect it and that it shouldn't be pleasurable to take a life in order to live; "living takes life"
