Urban Street photography - High contrast Black and White - Saltaire

Urban photography from Saltaire. In this session, I shoot high contrast back and white images, straight from the camera. This place has a special connection to me being a location I frequented often as a child.

Thanks for these pictures of Saltaire, it is a great location. The high contrast recipe doesn't work with some images but in others it really makes them sing. I love the abstracts with repeated elements like the steps and the balustrades and also the social documentary ones of the runners and other park users. My favourite combines both in the steps with the small child at the top 5:53. Brilliant, thanks again for an engaging video.

Loving the images James. It made me wonder what Saltaire was like in the days when it was full of people on their way to work. Looks like an interesting parkrun course.

I have been a huge fan of black and white since 1988, I think you will understand this, I literally see a black and white image when I out and about each day even when I don't have a camera on me
