Does this store the data even after the app is reloaded? I need something to store user preferences e.g. accessibility options and similar, but can't work out how to retain their choice on reload.

I've been trying to find a way to securely store an API key and expo secure store came up (encrypted storage specifically for secret keys), but I can't find how you get the key into secure store without it existing in the code itself, which kinda defeats the purpose.

Do you know if there's a way to have the secret key stored in encrypted storage without it residing in the app code?

I'm getting: [Unhandled promise rejection: Error: The method or property SecureStore.setItemAsync is not available on ios, are you sure you've linked all the native dependencies properly?]
