Ah, the good old days, when it was OK for 100 humans to gather in the same space.

The experiments need some work for legit results but the show is entertaining

First 2 episodes were good, but then it just went downhill they just started doing generalized qualitative experiments which didn't answer the "question" asked. And the questions asked were supposed to challenge societal expectations, but didn't take into account tons of factors. For example: "which gender is more vain?", they had both genders rate themselves, then opposite genders rate each other. The larger the difference between rating oneself and the rating of the opposite gender is supposed to determine vanity? That could also be measured as confidence or self-consciousness, but they measure confidence as being "vain".
After that I was like okay this show is ridiculous. Like there's literally a woman's magazine called Vanity. and being on social media, like it's insane to say American men are more vain. Sorry.
And then the "who's more likely to be late?" they didn't take into account, maybe the guys let the women order the food first. Or since most the members didn't leave in time "who's more likely to follow rules", or "go with the crowd". Great idea for a show but the experiments should be much more clever.

Definitely need to have scientists to set up the.. you know... Science. Interesting in a lot of ways but infuriating to watch them skew results towards what they want or expect.

this seemed decently fun and interesting, but then a few experiments and episodes in you realize that its on a highschool or preschool level… atleast from what i witnessed it looks and feels controlled and aimed at a result sometimes. and sometimes it aims to simply re-inforce what people allready Think.

now there is ONE thing that plays against me and that is that im from sweden, so i can have a warped understanding of americans and its society.
from my perspective though, sometimes it seems as this show has an agenda, and it twists and turns the experiments to fit it.

first things first, most of these are decently done, some of them loses its value, like the dance off, because you value them as a Group, you get a Group mentality, and because you do it in a order, and actually put the rating right after, you are basicly setting the standard with the first dance.

you saw these things coming, like the obvious "who is most attractive" and they showed some Pictures more often, trying to convince us that its because she now is familiar, but what about the people who thought she was most attractive from the first time all of them was shown. then you neglect first impression, and then chop it up to "you chose her because you saw her most of the time"... flawed.

you also had the multitasking experiment... 1, questions was bad, as it looked most of the Girls got personal questions, easy to remember, year of birth, birth Place, and so on, and the guys got math questions and other questions not as personal. atleast from what was shown… to make it a correct and fair experiment you should have information pre-hand that is the same, read a short story, as questions about it, have a still Picture, ask about what was in it. unbias questions.

Jessie and Jessie i really have no comment… it was just weird… and contradictory, they trusted the girl to be a doctor, to be smart, and trustworthy, but not to earn 100k, while they did not trust the male, felt he was not smart and probably not a doctor, yet thought he was earning 100k... makes zero sense...

the Camels back was when they just had a man and a woman look the same dress the same and make presumptions, they moved to the shooting test. and this was 100%aimed to reinforce that black people are more shot and america is racist… this test was superflawed. what color is most commonly depicted as a bullseye? RED.... and the black guy had a RED/PINK shirt (im colorcorrected so cant really tell) and the White guy had a Bright blue?... i would bet Money that race played no part in it, and instead the color of the shirt did… and funny thing is thats the first thing i thought when i saw it go down with the first shooter.
1. because the other guy is dressed in Bright clothes its easier to make out his figure.
2. from what i could tell they made 4 jump outs, first 3 had a person with a gun, so process of illimination teaches you that one of the people will have a gun and you should shoot it.
3. so when the last 2 jumps out you allready have the notion that one of them has a gun. and secondly you can make out the Bright dressed guy easier, so when you do not see a gun your mind simply processes it to react with prior information and urges you to shoot the second target.

it was decently fun, but the intelligence level became bothersome… and i simply could not bare to waste more time watching…
and while some will argue "but you have time to waste typing this comment" the answer is that i do not view this as a waste, 1. i vent from this horrible experience. 2. i try and help others like me to not go through with this and/or 3. if you do, and find yourself here, you are not alone…

like... technological dexterity? or what was it?.... untangle a cord... Tech savy in america?

Love the show, just hope it's a little less biased in the next season

The moderators are kinda ignorant in this show

The “hosts” of Netflix’s 100 Humans are not even—in the most basic sense—scientists.

Sammy Obeid is a stand up comedian.

Zainab Johnson is a stand up comedian and model.

Allie Ward is an actress.

I didn’t realize that placing three attractive media personalities in white lab coats and having them read scripts featuring big, scientific-sounding words made them actual scientists.

I’m not even certain if any of the three hosts even possess degrees.

This is truly one of the most dull, foolish and futile attempts to blend science and pop culture in awhile. The entire production is predominantly irrelevant and laughable—just not in the comedic sense that professional comedian would want—and I found myself to be laughing at them.

On episode 4 with the shooting range experiment. Can you let the actors wear the same color next time?

I would like to talk about the last experiment done in season 1 episode 4 I wish if both the men were wearing the same color of clothing. JP was wearing a red shirt while the other man who was the stranger was wearing a green shirt, hence the outcome of the experiment. I don't think it was entirely fair because red and green give very opposite vibes and red is usually considered to be a color that grabs a lot more attention than green or actually any color and that is why road signs are usually red such as the famous 'stop' sign and it was designed to be red because an expirment showed that red would grab the drivers' attention a lot more than any other color.

In an experiment to say why certain women are considered more beautiful, it was totally manipulated. For those who watched, will understand better They show 6 or 8 faces of different women, make one of them appear longer (coincidentally the girl who is actually more beautiful) and then make you choose one of them. You choose the woman who appeared the longest as more beautiful. The conclusion they reach is that you ONLY chose her because she is more familiar. How can you state this without excluding, through tests, several other hypotheses? Now, why didn't they just put all the photos on the same screen and ask you to choose? It would make a lot more sense. But do they want you to think that beauty is totally subjective, by ideology? I don't know. They were either dishonest or just ignorant of concluding something due to a stupid experiment

As a scientist that works in quality control, i must say, the final scenario in the Gun Shooting experiment in Episode 4 was mis-leading, heres's why:

1. The ones wearing red shirts were more likely to get shot no matter what they were holding because that Red color sparks visual arousal (think of traffic lights, stop signs, traffic cones)
2. In final scenario, the Black guy in the red shirt crouched, held his phone like a gun, and used his other hand to hold his arm steady as if he was aiming meanwhile the white guy in the light teal colored shirt dropped his elbow of the same arm that was holding the phone and held it away from his chest and stood straight up (no one holds a gun like that, not even the test subjects)
3. You introduce multiple variables in the final situation not just race (shirt color, body positioning, hat vs. no hat)

I love the show but i also believe in quality science. There was no need to "help" the experiment to prove your point about bias natures. We know blacks are viewed as more of a threat in real life.

I'm watching the show right now, and one thing I noticed when they had people "shooting" people with guns or phones. The stances of how the white man and the black man are different. Look at how each person was portraying themselves towards to shooter.
