5 BMW Maintenance Tips To Keep You Car Like New

A BMW dealer will tell you to do tons of maintenance on your BMW, but there are 5 things that are critically important. I'm going to share those with you, and explain why it's these 5 things that are the most important and how you can stay away from some of the other maintenance.

We'll talk about simple things like your oil staying clean, but we'll also talk about why an oil change is so important for you. It's all about #BMW #maintenance for your car!

"Lots of times it comes down to basic care."
The most true and best line in the whole video. Basic maintenance, basic care, are essential to keeping it running.

Great tips! Especially letting the car warm up a little and driving it lightly until properly warmed up and also letting it cool down for a few minutes after a drive. I do this religiously and never have any turbo related problems and I’m running a set of upgraded turbos

I have a X3 and it has 198, 000 miles. I never went to the dealer ship. All I did was oil changes since 130, 000 miles. It’s running just great

You've nailed it! I've being doing all of this over the latest 35 years on all my cars and must say it works!
Pure common sense.
Congrats, keep up the good job!

I will absolutely make these changes. Just bought a '13 328i with 68k miles and I don't think the thermostat or water pump have been changed yet. However everything looks immaculate and I drive slowly too. But I will start warming her up and allowing the cool down asap. Thank you sir!

Luckily I’ve own my second BMW, 2014, 328i Sport, so far 368K Miles, only high pressure fuel pump, fuel pump modulator, just changed timing chain guide, with rod bearing since it crosses over in repair cost, also belts, just changed suspension as well, only thing out of those listed that was a must was high pressure fuel pump and modulator. This F30 has served me well seeing I had a Dinan Stage 1 tune since it’s first 3k miles onward till now. Amazing 🤩

I became an owner of a BMW just today, and it was awesome. It's an '08 328i with the bells and whistles included. A lucky find at the local lot, for sure at less than 10K. The dealer showed the cost of the additional packages this has and it was worth that alone, almost. Thanks for the advice and for your page. I have been looking forward to owning one since I knew what a car was.

Lawd! So glad I live in Austin, TX and that whole snow/gravel thing to me is not an issue!

The dealer told me I needed to replace the engine mounts. I'm skeptical because I have never been told to replace mine on any car I've owned. My current BMW is my first one, and I absolutely love it. I just don't know whether I should believe the dealer or not.

In my family we’ve had our bmw 1995 3.2.5 TD since it came out, and the only time it broke down was because of the alternator that had to be replaced, apart from that we never had any major issues with the car.
I believe the car is a limited edition ( I’m not completely sure though) since it’s a manual transmission and also a turbo charged Diesel engine. It has 230000 miles on the odometer, and still runs great!

Thank you especially for the info on turbo chargers as I just purchased a 2016 328i xDrive. I didn’t know I should allow time for turbo to cool down a little before turning the vehicle off.
You saved me $$$ and headache
Awesome 👍🏻

Also very important do not go full throtle on cold engine, let it run for a min or two then go slow until it is warm.
