In the world of sales, the quickest way to lose a sale or customer is to bash anothers product. The fastest way to make a sale is to highlight the pros of your product and don't mention the competition. MSDS sheets and brand names that differ for the same product in another country vary because of copyrighted brand names etc. Nothing to get your panties in a twist over.

I think Scott is stepping dangerously close to the limits of his expertise here. Being a professional (by which accrediting body?) car washer doesn't make you a trained chemist or even qualified to read data sheets or interpreting the legalities of what they must include or not. Since you're effectively accusing Meguiar's of fraud, did you take the time to contact them for clarification before flapping your mouth? I've been following you for quite a while and have bought several products on your recommendation, but since you got into the business of selling your own shit (created and developed by Scott Bley himself...really?) your tone has changed and you're not too shy to rag on other small timers like yourself and their products and bona fides. Your star is rising and I'm not jealous of your success, but I find that I can no longer trust your good intentions. But, you know, much love and I hope you have an awesome day!

Did you contact Meg's asking for an explanation prior to taking your concerns public? As many others have stated, SiO2 is only required to be reported when it's in powder form. This video and the soapbox you've jumped up onto here is not flattering for you and is doing more to tarnish your reputation than it is exposing a product that you feel is being sold under false pretenses.

Stick to product reviews and How To's, They're what got you to where you are. I'd hate to see you throw away the trust and reputation you've earned because of an uninformed, petty rant.

Yup, just a bottle of 100%water. I know my tap water is white and smells sweet. You should see the water bead off my ass after I take a shower. If you are daft enough to think that it's just a bottle of water, maybe you should down a bottle to prove it. Somebody needs to educate themselves about how SDS's work.

Who really cares, Scott? The question is, does Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax work? The answer is yes, it's a damn good product for the price! It offers a lot of protection. It's been tested against its competitors in the same category (SIO2 spray sealants) and has faired extremely well.

Show us the MSDS sheet for your product?

2 videos for this? Why not just put up a video of your product out preforming it then?

Hey Scott we all love ya. Who wouldn’t, you’re a great guy. My last comment is a MSDS (Material SAFETY Data Sheet) is only required to list hazardous materials. You really can’t use it to determine the product’s ‘recipe’, just its OSHA determined hazardous ingredients.
UCSD has a brief write-up on using a MSDS if anyone is interested. Peace Out

Hey Scott. First off let me say I’ve been thinking a lot about this issue. You have (rightly so I believe) made many comments regarding the industry you are a part of, some good and some not so much. We have come to trust those comments from you and others. In this case, I believe you’ve crossed paths with, not just the questionable product ingredients but the marketing guy’s flogging this stuff. Those of us who follow you don’t need to be convinced by the SDS sheet. We need to be convinced by proof we can see on your channel. My point: Take the damn stuff, do what you do best with a side by side comparison with whatever product you choose. That is what you do so very, very well! Do NOT get into a Scrap with this huge multinational company. It won’t go well! Time to go back to work, Scott and screw the SDS sheets! I’m just saying!

Just test the damn product and compare it to other similar products. I really doubt Meguiar’s is going to give you their damn recipe in the SDS sheets. Lol

Both US and UK products have the same product number, G1905. I expect to be the same product but with different names, depending on the market (there's no Hydrowax in the UK, they call it Hybrid Ceramic Wax one this side too). Probably the US legislation regarding SDS information is different to the EU/UK one. OSHA in the US is concerned primarily about human health, while REACH regulation in the EU targets also environment impact of chemicals. Maybe this why we see these differences.

I appreciate the thought behind these videos but let’s put it head to head with your product and see which is actually better then let people decide if the extra money is worth it.

But does it work? Does it work and protect as advertised? Yes or no.

So what do you think about the Mother's CMX? I couldn't find a sds sheet on there website?

Thank you for the video, Scott. I was just curious if you tried the product? And if so, what did you think about it?

I'm a relatively newer subscriber and I can only make a suggestion, weather or not you accept is up to you. This all comes across as a slimy way to disparage another company's product and create controversy to generate attention. No one with any experience or knowledge would know or care about the SiO2 content of consumer grade, off the shelf auto protectant. It's a lower cost, easy to use, readily available product that provides results comparable with other products of the same nature and commensurate with its price. If you want to tout the composition of your product against others, do it on the label and in your product's description. Making videos like this diminishes your standing with all but the most staunch, dedicated fans. You should pull them down.

Check Section 9. See how closely the physical properties match. In particular, see how the specific gravity compares. It may or may not be the same product. The company I work for sells various concentrations of the same product to meet different price points for specific markets. It's all the same product, but different versions are more watered down than others. We love you Scott.

What does the msds for your product say scott?

SIO2 is not hazardous in liquid form, thus it does not need to be listed on the SDS sheet.

So your saying the meguiars hybrid ceramic wax only has water in it? To be clear I could give two shits about meguiars but i can tell you that it has something in it!!!...its not just water!!...I firmly believe when the dust settles on this ridiculous drama over a stupid "wax" it's going to come out that a mistake was made on the msds sheet! I'm personally going back to work as this crap is pissing me off and I'm not sure why!!!
