How EXPENSIVE is LAS VEGAS in 2025?

Revealing what I actually spent visiting Las Vegas for 3 nights on a solo trip, what I spent on hotels, how much I ate, what I bought, and how much I gambled. Nothing is hidden or off-limits. What I didn't do was any clubbing, or drinking... and definitely no bottle service in here! If you're planning a trip to Las Vegas you could use this as a basis for developing your own Las Vegas budget. But remember, prices do fluctuate and I did not include transportation to and from Las Vegas in this price.

It’s funny, my father was stationed in Vegas during the 70s for a few years. He always said going to the strip was one of the only things he could actually afford to do as a young airmen. Between the free or super cheap buffets and the drink service for playing games it was a cheap form of entertainment for him and his friends. These days it’s $10 for a water

I live in Zurich, Switzerland and recently visited LA and Vegas. I was shocked. Los Angeles and Las Vegas are significantly both more expensive than Zurich. I never thought I'd ever say that!

I've been in Vegas for 30 years as of just a few days ago(Jan 11, 1995), and to say this town has gone down hill since then is the understatement of a lifetime. Just as of 10-15 years ago, I would recommend anyone retiring or just looking for a nice place to visit or maybe move to, Vegas was one of the best places in the country. Low housing prices, low cost of living, even if you wanted to take in the sights and sounds, you had great options. Now I tell people to avoid this city like the plague, as everything that was great here is either dying, or dead. You can still find deals especially at the off strip locations, but nothing like it used to be, greed has overtaken any common sense here, and so long as people are willing to pay, it will only get worse.

I stopped going to Vegas 2 years ago - used to go annually for about 12 years straight before then. Sick of the resort fees, increased buffet prices and simultaneous massive quality drop in buffet food, and the worsened odds on blackjack and roulette killed Vegas for me.

American tourist destinations -- Hawaii, Orlando, and Las Vegas -- are now more expensive, especially after tax and tip, than like the most expensive European destinations in Switzerland and Norway. It's totally insane.

The 2 big casino companies on the strip have ruined Vegas. Now everything feels like a rip off and poor value. Fees fees fees, bad gaming odds, long lines and crowds. I used to love going to Vegas but now I have very little desire to return. The best part is the food and pools when it’s warm.

Thanks for visiting and getting ripped off by Vegas for all of us. I didn't have to get out of bed and already had the latest Vegas experience without spending a dime. I didn't waste time packing my bags, putting up with flying or long drives, and long lines.

The resort fees are the killer part of visiting Vegas! Don’t mind the food prices as you can find great prices especially in downtown in Fremont street compared to the strip and its casinos 🎰! Another good tip to avoid over spending is to do your research 🧐 and pick two or three things to do? Like a show, a restaurant or museum attraction! And just enjoy the atmosphere of the place and people watching as that’s still free 😂!
